Warsaw Airports
Warsaw has two airports:- Chopin WAW is Poland main airport used by both national and low-cost carriers. It is located 15 min from city center and is well conected by public transport. There is a city bus and train station in underground of terminal.
- Modlin WMI is used mainly by Ryanair airline. It is located 25 km, 40 mins by car, away from Warsaw city center. From Modlin you can get to city center by shuttle bus https://www.modlinbus.pl (around 10 euro) or take taxi (around 40 eur).
Flying from EU
- Flight from most Europe destinations takes 2h - 3h.
- Ticket fees vary greetly depending on airlines but you can easily book a low-cost carrier ticket from most destinations in price of 50-100 euro.
Flying from USA and CA
- Direct flights are runned by Polish Airlines LOT. Direct flights are from:
- New York JFK
- Chicago O\'Hare ORD
- Los Angeles LAX
- Miami MIA
- Toronto YYZ.
- Flight take 8-12h and fee is around 500-600$ both ways. If you can get to one this airports, those should be fastest and cheapest flights.
- There is plenty of flights with change. Usually you will get flights to Amsterdam, Paris, London, Frankfurt then change to Warsaw runned by KLM, Air France, British Airways or Lufthansa.

Flying from Australia

On foot to prison
Warsaw Prison is located 40 mins by foot from Old Town Royal Castle. You can have a nice walk along Vistula Boulevards but also you can go through an old military fort - Warsaw Citadel.Public transport
Public transport is in Warsaw very well developed. You can use the public buses, subways, trams and commuter train SKM. In any place in Warsaw you are able to get by using the above-named means of transport.- Our facility has bus stop near. It is also 10 min walking distance from Metro Plac Wilson and tram stops located there.
- The frequency during the day is very high. At night also run trams and buses (so-called night lines marked with the letter N), but much less than during the day - keep that in mind. Metro runs 5 am to 1 am ( night )
- By the bus and tram stops is the possibility of buying a ticket at ticket vending machines where you can pay using bills, but also a credit card. The same goes for buying tickets to the subway. Most of trams and buses have ticket vending inside.

Uber, Bolt or taxi
Warsaw is also place of battle with App taxi company and regular ones. We recommend using App companies. For more regular one we recommend Ele Taxi - you can also order via App and their website. Most of taxi have credit card terminals or use tap pay apps.In regular taxi, price per entry and per kilometer is fixed. It is displayed on the window sticker. Check the distance with Google Maps to estimate fee. Taxi driver should always have distance meter turned on.
